Real-life world terrains from NASA topography + satellite images
We found a crafty workflow to make 3d models of any place in the world using NASA's laser scanned earth topographical data.
We then use an obscure satellite image stitching software to get super HD textures matching the 3d model coordinates. Finally we remove shadows from the satellite image stitch using different tools in Photoshop.
